Em Habanim

Newly elected Patrick (Avraham) Chriqui was born in Canada. He has served as Treasurer of our congregation for over 12 years. An information technology professional, he is president of Integrated solutions, Inc. and graduate of Cal State Northridge in computer sciences. He has served the community for many years including being a board member with the Sephardic Educational Center.

Albert Ifrah elected as 1st VP who has a degree in Mechanical engineering has served our congregation for many years as officer including 1st president. He was instrumental in establishing Sephardic synagogues in the city and is committed to Talmud Torah Education and expanding Em Habanim

Marc Oiknine, our second vice president is an experienced community man who has served on our board of directors for well over a decade. With his wife Hanna as our office manager and his children involved as staff with Talmud Torah and youth group, Em Habanim is blessed with this family’s contribution.

Dr. Phil Ettedgui was elected Treasurer . Dr. Ettedgui earned his doctorate from UCSF . He has developed his own line pf propriety pain gels and is the CEO of a successful Pharmaceutical company. Born in the US his parents are from Fez and Casablanca. He is committed to continued Torah learning.

Leibel Winegard was elected Corporate secretary. He holds a Masters Degree from American University and is Senior VP of Hill International. He has over 25 years of experience in the Construction and Insurance industry in business development and contract administration. Leibel was very instrumental in establishing our very successful father and son learning program in recent years at Em Habanim
