Registration for Talmud Torah is now open for boys and girls ages 7 to 13. Beginners to advanced level Hebrew, Reading, Holidays, Parashat Hashavua, and Fun activities. Program begins September 3rd. To register please call the office at: (818) 762-7779.

For each student approaching the time of preparation for his bar mitzvah, the synagogue offers a training class, free of charge. Once the student demonstrates a basic understanding of reading biblical Hebrew, the hazzan instructs the bar mitzvah on chanting his Torah portion and related Haftarah in their customary melodies.

Em Habanim organizes a successful weekly gathering of youth from ages 13 to 19. It is an opportunity for interaction among Jewish teens sharing interests relevant to their age group--social, sports or recreation. It is also a chance for making friends and strengthening ties to the Jewish community within a synagogue setting. Our youth group director is Ezra Laniado, a graduate of the University of Southern California and Yeshiva in Israel.
